Have a physical therapy-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Can I choose where I want to have therapy?

Yes, the choice of where you receive therapy is always yours. While many of our patients come to us through physician referrals, others choose us directly because of our strong reputation in physical rehabilitation within the community.
  • Do I need a physician referral to receive therapy?

No, you don't need a referral from your primary care provider. Our therapist is a direct-access physical therapist, which means they can evaluate and treat you for up to 60 days without a physician's referral. If continued care is needed beyond that timeframe, we'll recommend that you see a physician. This allows you to begin physical rehab quickly and without unnecessary delays.
  • Does your facility accept my insurance?

We participate in most major health insurance plans, including Medicare and Workers' Compensation. We encourage you to contact us before your first visit to confirm coverage with your specific plan. Our team is happy to help you navigate your benefits so you can focus on your physical rehabilitation.
  • Does your facility submit claims to my insurance company?

Yes, as a service to our patients, we will gladly file claims with your insurance company on your behalf. To ensure an accurate submission, we'll need a copy of your insurance ID card. This allows you to focus on your physical rehab while we handle the paperwork.
  • What will my first visit be like?

During your first visit, your therapist will evaluate your condition and begin treatment. In our experience, this initial appointment typically lasts 60-90 minutes. The evaluation helps us design a personalized program tailored to your needs, ensuring the most effective physical rehabilitation and optimal recovery.

  • What do I bring on my first visit?

Please bring the following items to your first appointment:

    • Referral slip from your medical doctor (if applicable)
    • Your medical insurance card
    • Your ID
    • For workers’ compensation cases, your claim information, including the claim number

We also recommend arriving 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Bringing these items ensures your physical rehab can start smoothly and without delays.

  • What do I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, such as sweatpants or shorts, a T-shirt or tank top, and sneakers. This allows you to move freely during your physical rehab sessions and get the most out of your therapy.
  • How long is each visit?

In our experience, each visit typically lasts 60–90 minutes, though the exact time can vary depending on the treatments and exercises performed. This schedule ensures you receive thorough and effective physical rehabilitation tailored to your needs.
  • How often will I go to treatment?

The frequency of your visits will be determined after your initial evaluation, but we typically recommend attending 2-3 sessions per week. This schedule is designed to provide consistent care and maximize the effectiveness of your physical rehab.
  • Will I see the same therapist for each treatment?

According to Harvard Medical School, over 50 million Americans seek physical therapy each year. At our clinic, the same therapist will care for you at every visit, providing consistency and continuity throughout your physical rehabilitation.
